LETTERS OF GRATITUDE – May 2020

Dear grandma,
I know that we couldn’t see each other that much even before the pandemic, but this feels totally different. Before all of this, we could always take a train and spend a few days with you and the rest of the family when we were feeling alone here. However, over the past months we’ve felt more alone than ever, but it’s impossible to see you.
These past few months have also been difficult because, of course, we were worried that something bad could happen. That’s why we constantly called and checked if you were careful enough. I’m sorry if it has been was stressful.
However, things finally seem to be getting better. Every day we are getting closer to our old lives, so maybe we will finally be able to see each other in the next months, after almost half a year.
Of course, I miss it all so much, from the 3 hour long lunches to watching TV shows together or taking care of all the little cousins with you and all the other simple things that made staying with you so fun. To be honest, I still am a little worried, but the fact that things seem to be going better and that you’re still doing great is a relief.
I hope to see you all as soon as possible, and I know that you will do just fine until that day, because you’re one of the strongest people I know.
Stay safe!
Your dearest Gabriel
